And Now the News…
By: Jennifer | December 15th, 2008
A quick update as I rush through the last 3 days of school and start preparing for finals. It’s a bit stupid that my finals are after the break, but alas, Canada.
-Monaco are after Gabby. I know Obertan hasn’t looked as promising as of recent, but it will be a real real shame to let him go before he’s proven himself at Bordeaux.
-Bordeaux’s interests in goal: Yohann Pele, Coman, Nicolas Douchez, Carlos Kameni and …. Mickaël Landreau (?!!). I’m sorry, but Landreau does not make the cut; we’d have to start fixing him in 5 years.
-Grenoble’s breakout midfielder Sofiane Feghouli (but tonnes of other clubs are also after him, so not likely).
-L’Equipe also says Blanc is interested in one Fabio Ferreira, a central defender playing with Corinthians.
-And for once, thank you referees! Without you Bordeaux won’t have won that game by such a large margin (and for once, everyone agrees.)
-Bordeaux draws ASSE for Coupe de France in round of 32.
- I have good scans of the rest of the Yoann Gourcuff interview and will be translating soon! I’ll hope to get a few up before Christmas

ah yes, I think a loan would be good for Obertan, he hasn’t been getting any playing time. A kid with his talent needs to be played constantly in order to develop. But if blanc feels he needs him then he should stay, I guess.
- Kameni is not happening
- Douchez is alright i guess. He’s not my ideal GK.
- Coman is a risk, he could either turn out to be a big success or a big flop.
- Pele would be my perfered option, also considering he is better than everyone else on this list except for Kameni. I doubt he would be leaving Espanyol unless they are to be religated. We need a CB, I don’t know how good Fabio Ferreira is but I hope he’s better than Planus. I was hoping Matthieu Saunier would get a chance but…
ASSE? Start strong early, I’m not to worried… We have the toughest draw but it’s alright.
Good Luck on those exams, don’t study too hard.

A loan is for Obertan (apparently 6 months to Monaco. Ricardo really has a deal here), but these days everyone wants to buy the newest talents.. I hope there isn’t a buy clause, though I don’t think Blanc will let him go yet.
You know relations have been shit with ASSE, so it’ll be interesting to watch the game (and also, ASSE want Florian Marange). I don’t think that the possibility of his transfer will go over well.
(LOL, I’ll try not to. Though I really should be doing work right now)

link? Is it offical? I haven’t read anything. The club managent would be out of there minds to let him go.
They’ll include a first refusal to the loan deal but I doubt they’ll be crazy enough to include a purchase option.ASSE have been shit this year. This is what is going to happen to them (God Willingly):

We’ve beat them last year and all three encounters the year before than. And on top of that, they haven’t beaten us this year either. Times have changed, we’re in a new cycle.I’ve never been able to catch Marange play, I think Trémoulinas may be better than him anyways. With the money from Florian Marange’s transfer we could purchase Jérémy Mathieu… Placente could be on the market as well.
Work now party after!

Ughhhhh, none of the teams I root for drew easy teams
Galatasaray will definitely be a challenge…even Milan Baros picked up his game and is in good form.
