We Can Be Tourists Too
By: Jennifer | February 28th, 2009I know no one’s losing sleep over that well played loss to Galatasaray (obviously every other person thinks it’s destiny and must mean something. Maybe the old coach was bringing them bad luck.) But hey, at least the team is having a great time in Istanbul right?

Check out the South Americans doing the regular tourist thing
On the other hand Fernando is handed a 4 match suspension and Valencia wants Gourcuff (what else is new?)

THAT SOUNDS LIKE A REALLY GOOD GAME! I’m ecstatic for Chamakh. (Oh yeah, how’s Obertan doing?)

Good result today….on the other hand can someone justify this for me?
and someone told me they heard gourcuff this morning on sky tv say that he is going back to milan….anyone hear about this?

I have not heard anything like that, and I usually don’t trust Goal.com with their sources. I can see why he would want to plan in Italy, since Bordeaux isn’t doing that great and might not even make a CL berth next season. However, if we do well for the rest of this season and have a shot at CL, I think realistically he will stay.

Jennifer: Obertan looked pretty good, he go into the box a few times and played in some crosses right across the face of goal that could have been really hurtful but with the time he was given he couldn’t do too much. I think I would give him a rating of a about a 6/10 in his overall performance. Chamakh is really enjoying a really good period right, which is great considering he never scores.
Omar: That article is bull, I went to L’Equipe site the day of and the next few days after to read the actual article, there was nothing posted of the sort. I also looked at a few other France football based newspapers, there was nothing either, and figuring this is a France international, you would certainly see AT LEAST one article with him making such remarks.
I think it’s is most likely is recycled quotes from three years ago, and especially since Gourcuff said he wont make his decision until the end of the season, it’s probably safe to say it’s false… Goal.com has not credibility when it comes to rumours and many of there titles are very misleading.

p.s. I never herd him say anything on Sky but I’ll check it out, thanks for the heads up.

If Ribery leaves Bayren they will go after Gourcuff probably.

Bayern has also expressed interest in Gourcuff for a while now, and Milan promised them that if Bordeaux rejects Gourcuff, they’ll have the first bid.

haha, I went to bed but I still don’t feel like talking about it… It was very poor game for our side but Toulous was very impressive especially Gignac he caused trouble for our defense all match, he’s a fantastic player. I hope he gets his much deserved call for France.
Now the bad, Gourcuff was horrible, Jussie was invisible like Gourcuff but helped out much to his ability in defense, Traoré was far too in experienced he looked lost. And Fucking (excuse my french) BELLION was useless!! He did shit for 60 mins, What in the world was Blanc thinking (I know you haven’t watched in a while but you know how inconsistent Bellion is). Chamakh was alright but got no service, everyone else played well (the defense).
You know we had 0 shots after the first half with 56% of the possession and Toulouse had 5 shots and already 2 goals. When I say Gourcuff was horrible, I mean he was really poor, he didn’t give one good pass gave away the ball every time and he was invisible for majority of the match.

Cave is out for 6-8 weeks so it’s not as bad as we first thought, the possible 3 -4 months. In the mean time we need a striker to fill in and I can’t help but think this is Gouffran’s chance to show Blanc that he should be playing as a Striker.
The biggest joke of the week is that they’re calling Traoré the next Zidane. Some of the French journalists are really blind.
