Oh My God Gouffran Scored

By: Jennifer | January 16th, 2009

Finally, I know I have a collection of Gouffran photos for a reason.

So Gouffran finally scores for Bordeaux, against Châteauroux to beat them 2-1 (he scored the winner).

The semis are drawn for the Coupe de la Ligue and Bordeaux is facing PSG (again). Les Girondins will go to the Parc des Princes on either Feb 3 or 4.

Also just to note that after that 4-0 win over PSG earlier last week, a fight broke out between supporters (more like hooligans, I guess) between both clubs in what seem to be an organized fight. The police had to take care of them, and they are charged with posession and violence against authority. Three PSG supporters are sentenced to a month in prison and five Bordeaux supporters 15 days.

(In other news, I’m heading into finals week and I apologize for not posting as much. I have 5 exams next week and might be heading to Montréal between those exams. I’ll be posting more in February :) )

The Ultramarines are back at I see, I haven’t see the flairs in a while (you may have noticed them at the beginning of both halves). I told my buddy to keep his Ultras at home and now there spending a month in prison!
(First the humiliating loss for PSG that I predicted(for the spirit of the game) then this!)

Thanks for the news Jennifer! :-)

Just because they’re disbanded doesn’t mean they can’t go around picking fights! That incident last year was humiliating for the league and the image of the sport in France. *Does not approve*

(My dad tells me the road is icy and it’s going to be dangerous driving to Montréal, but I really want to check out McGill’s campus…not that I’ll end up going there anyway.

Ooo Chile :o It’s too bad that we’re all stuck in this weather  )

I think the haircut is sick … Who is Janot?

Sudouest, have reported that president Jean-Louis Triaud will have a contract ready for Gourcuff within the next five days, you know what that means? We intend to purchase Gourcuff! The news was confirmed yesterday, which is great news, Chalme and Diawara have backed him into staying as well.

No way, the one who started this craziness is Govou..

Awesome! I’ve been convinced that we’ll buy him for months now, so it’s not surprising :P

    (Woohoo, Gourcuff and Chamakh!)

“Gourcuff has different characteristics from Kaka. It is slower and less dynamic.”

“If Gourcuff played a little here, because he did not deserve to play. If he returned, it would not be safe to hold. He should earn his place, like the others. Today it is because he has imposed on his post, he became more confident in his methods. When he was here, he was judged on what he had done, and if he did not deserve to play, he did not play. ”

Fuck off Anchelotti, just like how Beckham starts over Flamini, when Gattuso is out injured. The guy is a fucking hypocrite.

Good first half, poor second. Gourcuff looked out of it all game, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a bit distracted by all this Kaka talk.

if the kaka deal goes through which sends him to ManC i think our chances of them letting us buy him gets way lower. If that deal goes through they will have enough money and might want to keep that attacking mid….we better sign him

If we want to purchase Gourcuff it’s our decision, Milan can’t do nothing about it. We’re going to offer him a contract and Gourcuff has until the end of the season to decide if he wants to stay of go. And after hearing Ancelotti’s comments, I doubt he’ll go back. His father has said “Yoann will not come back if you trust in him,” in reference to Milan. (The quote was taken from Sudouest.com)

The Club wan’t to sign him, they have already signed a pre-pay agreement according to president Jean-Louis Triaud. Now It’s only up to Gourcuff. If he doesn’t want to sign he won’t, no one can force him but I don’t see why he wont. Since he has been playing with us, he’s been fantastic, he appears to be a real Bordelais now, He’s been given an opportunity to shine and has got all the managers confidence. Bordeaux are on track to qualifying for the UCL once again and are contenders for the L1 (the title race hasn’t been closer in years!). Right now he’s also assured a place with the Internationals, what more can he ask for looking towards the world cup.

I think he’s at the right club, We just have to remain at the top of the table and it makes his decision much more easier.

Yeah Julien’s right. Legally, Milan can’t choose to take him back, they can only beg him not to stay. And with the way he’s been treated back there, I think he’ll just stay on, if only for a while.
