ETA: Mickaël Ciani (central defender) might sign on to Bordeaux for 4 years.

Gourcuff wants to keep working with Chamakh:

“I really want to continue playing with him because I really enjoy it. He is very important in our system because it can be traced all the team keeping the ball well. He is right of the head and very generous in the effort. Few players have this style of play in Europe and it would be a big loss if he were to leave, for we would not have much time to find another player of this quality. Following is the club that runs it with Marouane, and I do not care about that. “

I really wanted to see Obertan get a chance in the Marine and Bleu, anyways, Ciani, is a good transfer, natural replacement ot Diawara, there not very different in terms of playing style and size, he will fit in well. Good signing. It also appears as though there will be no more additions in the back line which is very disappointing.

Arsene Wenger had a £5million offer for Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh dismissed as “ridiculous.”

But club president Jean-Louis Triaud blasted Arsenal’s offer as “ridiculously low” and is holding out for at least £12m, with Wenger ready to go to £6m.

MAN THIS ARTICLE CRACKS ME UP. It seems something out of the out of the old “I’m On Setanta Sports” Wenger.

Word is on the street that Bordeaux wants to replace the departing Chamakh with Milan Jovanović of Standard Liege. I’m a big fan of the player and consider him one of the best in our NT, so if these rumours are true, Bordeaux aren’t really going to be weakend by this striker shuffle. Not sure if Standard Liege would really accept that amount of money (6m) for him, though.

Wenger is doing the Arshavin thing again. By declaring his interest in Chamakh over and over again he’ll make him force his own transfer for a ridiculous sum of money. I don’t like that at all, but I guess that’s modern football for you.

Or for nothing at all..if Wenger waits another 5 months, Chamakh can sign to Ass(enal) for free. Chamakh have been offered an extension and he obviously didn’t take it…

If that rumour is indeed true, than I’ll have nothing to worry about :D
