Gourcuff Says Yes, The Rest Will Be History

By: Jennifer | May 25th, 2009

At the awards after being presented the trophy for best player in the league:

“I, personally, I would stay in Bordeaux. After that, we need to agree. “

Of course, Zidane had things to say too:
“He is big enough to make his own decision. But for the championship of France, it is better to have players like him. If he can stay one more year in Bordeaux, it would be nice. ”

(I think this is the first time they’ve met each other face to face? I remember when Zidane came mid season for a reunion thingy, Gourcuff didn’t get to meet him.)

Wow, Zizou is bigger than I thought (or Yoann is smaller.) Yoann needs sleeves though he looks hot. Jennifer this is the first time they’ve met and Gaston, Blanc has said that he won’t build a team around Yoann but I wonder if he’ll change his mind. Personally I don’t think that he should because I doubt Yoann will stay past the 2009-2010 season.

I agree so much. I’m not a Bordeaux fan, but I’m really happy that he wants to stay. It will make Ligue 1 more interesting.
