Girondins webTV! (And News Roundup)
By: Jennifer | February 13th, 2009
-You can now see les Girondins in all their antics on Girondins WebTV. It’s free on dailymotion (for now, until they can build their own not-so lucrative fan system.) There’s a lot of locker room action (lol, that sounded weird.) Their excitement is just adorable and look: excitable naked Gourcuff! I’m sure many girls would want to be Diarra. (Look at poor Valverde
He’s so emo.)
-Fernando Cavenaghi and Diego Placente are accused of having fake passports. (Of course, the passports just happen to be of Italian origin, and came via Rome.) Let’s hope this thing clears up before it can affect the squad.
- Cavé and Gourcuff both idolize Maradonna (despite not being in his callup. Although if Gourcuff were actually Argentinian, there’d be a pretty good chance.)
-I’ll be following this up with a series of Cavenaghi interviews that you should hopefully look forward to.

(Well Inter has SOME on the Inter Channel, which I can’t get anyway. I guess it’s just because GirondinsTV just started so it’s nice to have this for some promotion. And then they make it pay-per-view

Disappointing results… we had our opportunities and moved the ball around pretty well but no one put the ball in the back of the net, and it doesn’t help that Cavegol is off form. I hope we don’t fall 6pts behind OL…
Gourcuff was rested for majority of the match and played 10mins… Domenech isn’t helping himself, that’s another reason more for me to hate him more. anyways Gourcuff didn’t help when he came on anyways.

Haha, Jennifer, I see you have mistaken Diawara for Diarra. I used to do that all the time.
Would you happen to know how if Girondins WebTV would air the games? It’s too much of trouble trying to tape the games.Posted from

Ugh, I thought I got over that problem! One of them should get sick hair, then I’d be be able to tell.
I don’t think they will air the games because that kind of right is out of their hand and there are contracts and stuff with different channels and to get the games up would either be illegal or mean alottt of paper work.
Oh yeah, great to hear about the game from you. I’m so stoked about watching Bordeaux again, but they’re doing quite shit lately. I guess even Gourcuff isn’t being his usual magical self huh. I’m really beyond worried about Wednesday. I don’t want to lose to those third rate wannabes (yes).
Toulouse is doing so well. I don’t understand, they’re like a wave, going up and down like that. So much for title race huh.

“Yoann belongs to Milan. He can stay in France – but only with Bordeaux if the team strengthens itself and qualifies for the Champions League,” Christian Gourcuff, who coaches top flight side Lorient, told the Gazzetta dello Sport sports daily.
Christian Gourcuff said that Bordeaux did not necessarily have to hang on to highly-rated coach Laurent Blanc for his son to stay with the Girondins. “In football, everything is possible. The release clause in his contract (15 million euros) is ambiguous and there is also the possibility of a loan,” he said.

Blanc defends them fake passports. (video)
Gourcuff is not sure about staying. “I am not Kakà, I do not play the some position as him, I do not know why people compare.” He has short term commitments with Bordeaux and wants to play in the NT more. I guess we will wait until May.

Yeah, that what I thought, TV rights and ’stuff’ like that…
Yea, Gourcuff has been fading in and out of the games, it’s been apparent throughout the whole season but it’s pretty clear right now. Cavenaghi is the player I am most concerned about. He’s the most curtail player in our title race, without him we would be mid able.
Who do we play on Wednesday? Sorry, I’m completely unaware of anything lately…
I’m not to worried about Gourcuff, I think he’ll stay but if he doesn’t that 15 million euros can easily be invested somewhere else (like, I think Grenier from OL youth system reminds me a lot like Micoud and is supposedly one of the most talented youngsters in France), also Obertan will be returning and he is more talented than Gourcuff and can carry the team on his own.
I don’t want to comment on the fake passport situation, last time I commented on something like that Diawara was handed a two game band.
It’s best for Gourcuff that he stays, but if he does leave he wont bee guaranteed anything, about a year ago he couldn’t even get a game let alone 10 mins a week. The coach has full confidence in him, he has a spot for the NT and is a title contender. Gourcuff is no Zidane… Ancelotti likes his players very dynamic and very good on the 1 vs. 1’s, Gourcuff is good at holding and keeping the ball but isn’t an expert on beating his marker.
He should look towards staying for at least another season.
Thanks for the update Jennifer!

Galatasaray of course!
The Chamakh interview will be on soon *waits for my question*And did you see, Fernando wants to leave at the end of this season.
“I am meeting with the leaders in late March early April to review progress. For nearly four years that I am in Bordeaux, I think this year is that the possibilities of leaving the club are the most important. Perhaps the time. I gave four seasons at the club, I brought him things like he gave me. This is the environment of football wants that. Players leave, others arrive..”
I understand though..and he’s been wanting to go to Italy for some while now.

Ohhh! It slipped my mind… Thanks!
Damn, I really liked Fernando, hopefully he can leave with a title
. I think this would be a great opportunity to go and hunt for a true dictator which is what I think we are really missing, who provides good distribution, vision and some playmaking ability, but i doubt well find anyone like that but g-d willingly we will.
