From what I’m reading off the news, I think Alonso might take the pay raise and the extension. I will cry if Cavenaghi leaves.

Ofir: You’re right, an extra center defender wouldn’t be luxury, especially since Planus seems clearly out of form and responsible for at least two of the goals we’ve conceded in the last two friendlies.

What scares me a little is Alonso’s status.. He’s said no to Triaud’s contract proposals, and Monaco is trying to get him. The problem with him is that even though he’s far from perfect, he’s a very close friend of Cavenaghi. And it feels to me as if Alonso leaving would mean losing one of the ties Cavenaghi has with the club. That can’t be good!!

I’m seeing an excellent and fun balance in the bloggers here. Male and female. French and non-. Native English speaker (I’m guessing?) and native French speaker. I’m pleased from the signings Girondins made so far. The new arrivals are exactly in the positions we needed: A right midfielder, an attacker, and two bloggers.

Now all we need is a central defender, and this season will be perfect!
