Adu to France, Davies to Follow?

The new bus. It’s quite sexy.
For the news: Bordeaux are following Charlie Davies, who plays for Hammarby in the Swedish Allsvenskan. (I swear, every NA player tries out at Hammarby IF. Some of the Canadian players I follow went …and were rejected. What’s so special about Hammarby anyway?). Kofi Davies (his father) talked about a few clubs that want the signature of Davies, Bordeaux being one of them. (The legitimacy of that is quite questionable. For one, FCGB thought that Kofi, instead of Charlie, plays for Hammarby.)
Am I impressed by Davies? He seems to be good, he was quite impressive in the U23 qualifying rounds (against Cuba). And he is going to the Olympics in August, so we might be able to see. (Canada SO should have went.) He is young, and can also play attacking midfield. I know they have different roles…but I still like Obertan better.
Also on Diego Placente — it seems that it he is far from Bordeaux (maybe for the better). AEK Athens has made a bid for him, along with an unnamed Spanish club that has also contacted him. He prefers to play in La Liga, and has also mentioned that he wants to win something (he hasn’t won anything major in his career so far, only the Youth Championship in 1997.)
(Bordeaux drew with Toulouse today. Again, I wasn’t around to catch the game. Saviet played, Cavenaghi played…*sigh* I also wanted to see if Larsen IS Elmander’s replacement, but nevermind. My exam will be on Friday, and I’ll be off the hook once that is done. If you want minute by minute descriptions, here is the place to get it.)

I hunted down the article, here’s the excerpt:
Davies’ father, Kofi Davies, confirmed last night the Swedish club has been approached by Marseille, Monaco and Bordeaux, all of the French Football League (Ligue 1) seeking a transfer of the rising scorer Davies that could occur in January. Another team interested in Davies is Istanbul of Turkey’s top league, the Turkcell Super League.
