I realize I have something like 5 mins to up this post before the game but here we go.

Possible groups:

Marseille:
Mandanda – Bonnart, S. Diawara, Heinze, Taiwo – Abriel, Mbia, Be. Cheyrou – Kone, Brandao, Niang (cap.)

Bordeaux
Carrasso – Chalmé, Ciani, Planus, Trémoulinas – Diarra (captain) – Plasil, Gourcuff, Wendel – Chamakh Cavenaghi (or Gouffran)

Also known as Mr. 55% now, it’s been pointed out thatGourcuff responsible for 54.54% of Bordeaux’s goals.

Gourcuff had let slip that a girl who is not famous/celebrity/model CAN BE MRS GOURCUFF! Any girl indeed.

Also he says “I am very happy that Marouane remains even if the transfer window is not finished yet and it may happen a lot of things. I get along with Marouane on the field and off. He happens to be easy [going] and he is understandable. And he’s a good guy, so it’s nice to play with guys like that.”

I honestly apologize for the random bit of trivia I threw in there. I sort of planned a post a few days before and saved this draft, and now I kind of just put everything together. Anyway, there are the streams: http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=47087∂=sports

Also, live blogging right now in the comments.

Look at Deschamp’s ANGER and Blanc’s suave coolness.

This was a bit of a dull match. I expected better out of these teams.

Very scrappy affair. I have never seen Marseille dominate and murder opposition teams. All their matches are scrappy affairs. Brandao sucks. He can’t do anything other than harass opposition defenders and head the ball. He is awful on the ball. In phases Bordeaux looked like coming into their own. Gourcuff was disappointing by his standards. Planus and Ciani were impressive at the back. Luckily for Marseille Ciani was an idiot and pushed Taiwo just at the wrong time.

Yes he will, at least for another bit. Transfer window closed yesterday and no offers were accepted.

Actually, I thought it was a good match. I thought there was great plays going both ways.

Now did it suck that there wasn’t any scoring? Yes, it did. But I think there was a lot of action.

Bordeaux have to be happy. Again, I’m not seeing the hype. Marseille are good, but not at that top level yet. They remind me a lot of Man City (my fav in the UK). UK is winning, but not looking too impressive doing it.

If you plan on making a run for the Championship, you need to be the current champs at home. If you can’t beat them at home, you, for sure, can’t beat them away.

I think Marseille will be a top five team, but as of right now it is between Lyon and Bordeaux for the top spot.
